Mid August Powder

Three snowfalls over the last few days made for stunning conditions over the weekend - the best conditions for the season so far.
After a snow drought in early August the snow started falling Tuesday night! The weekend warriors were in luck, with three falls of snow creating excellent powder conditions. Six cm on Tuesday night was followed by another 8 cm on Thursday morning with 10 to 15 cm of fresh snow on Saturday morning.
Night skiing on Friday night amped up the powder fever with new snow falling throughout the evening. Some great riding and the live music by Luke Jackson added to the atmosphere.
Saturday dawned clear with fresh snow. Ski fever was high. Conditions were excellent with what seemed like bottomless light snow to ride in. Young and old were out there, climbing the peaks and shredding the slopes, enjoying the amazing conditions. Great to see everyone having a fun time and laying tracks across the whole mountain and beyond. The snow was still great to see on Sunday with plenty of more fun to be had. This has to be our best weekend of the ski season so far! You'll find more photos of the weekend in our Photo Gallery!
