Broken River Telemark Week

Telemark Week

Join our highly successful Telemark Week when freeheelers flock in from far and wide for a fun time, some great turns and to touch up on technique.

Claire & Jim, our two BR Telemark instructors, are available for group & private lessons all week. Lessons help you ski confidently in a variety of conditions and terrain. The Catered Wicked Weeker & Midweek Madness packages include lessons. Standard lessons rates apply for day visitors & shorter packages.

Everyone is welcome, whether you're a seasoned freeheeler or keen to give it a try. We have some telemark gear (skis and boots) for hire - please email Claire.

It's all about fun and freeing the heel. Be sure to bring your favourite tipple and some snacks for sunset drinks on the ridge.

Telemark Offpiste Course

Telemark Off-Piste Skills Course

Gain confidence and skills skiing off-piste conditions. Our three-day course will improve your versatility to handle the unexpected, and ability to ski with ease and efficiency in challenging conditions. It's the equivalent of having a personal trainer for three days! Dates: 8-10 Aug 2018.

Black Diamond Freeheel Fun Weekend

Join us for for our annual Freeheel Fun weekend for a fun events, socialising and clinics. This event draws in telemarkers from far afield and is a great chance to get together with other freeheeling fanatics.

Fun Day Saturday August 11th

Fun events throughout the day on Saturday with spot prizes, thanks to Black Diamond. Our fun ski events are open to all telemark abilities. Please register on field at Palmer Lodge, 10-11am, on the day. We may also run some beginner clinics  of Saturday if there is enough interest. We  have a limited amount of telemark gear available if you're keen to give telemarking a try.

Sunday Tele Clinics August 12th

Improve your style and ski like a Nordic God(des) with a 1.5 hour clinic. Cost: $40 per person (members $25). Advanced booking is necessary. To book email the BR Telemark Team at marketing@brokenriver.co.nz.

Telemark Lessons

TELEMARK LESSONS

We offer telemark private and group clinics by arrangement for all abilities. We have a limited pool of telemark skis and boots if you're keen to give it a try. Our telemark instructors are available upon request most weekends and Claire is available mid-week. Advanced booking is required. We do offer telemark lessons daily during the Telemark Week.
